No, they're not my bathrooms but Interior Designer, Sarah Richardson.
I'm a big fan of Sarah's work and her TV shows in which Sarah shares with us the secrets of
design with a great focus on the details of the rooms / homes she designs.
The one room of the home that I love to see in any of Sarah's work is the bathrooms.
Sarah elevates her attention to detail in these rooms whether it be through the tiles she
chooses and patterns she creates or the cabinetry installed along with the use of colour.
Here's a break down of my favourite bathrooms designed by Sarah Richardson.
The wall of tiles Sarah chose for this bathroom are to die for, I am in love with them.
I would love to be bold enough to have these tiles. The finishes in this bathroom just
compliment each each other perfectly. For the vanity Sarah has refinished an old chest
of drawers, this is something Sarah does often to add a unique feel to her spaces.
I am also in love with the grey subway tile in the shower.
In Sarah's House 4, Sarah showed how to make upgrades to your new, standard builder home.
Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and in the girls bathroom, Sarah really mixed it up.
Again the use of an old vintage piece of furniture was transformed into a vanity. The tiles in the shower
were an interesting idea that I would never have thought of - mixing white and cream tiles in
a great pattern. She has accessorised with pops of pink and orange but you can see that if
you remove those, you could give this bathroom a completely different feel.
This is Sarah's own bathroom in her Summer Cottage. This bathroom was inspired by
all the natural elements surrounding her cottage yet she still made it super gorgeous.
Such luxurious elements where installed in the flooring, tiling and bath.
But there were also some pieces that gave it that more relaxed cottage feel in
the great vanity, green chair and the painted wood panelled walls and ceiling.
Such a sweet bathroom.
This great bathroom in the first TV series, Sarah's House turned out so fun.
She used a really interesting shade of green and it turned out so well with all the white.
There she goes again transforming a unique piece of furniture into a vanity.
Beautiful detail in the tiles with classic white subway with bans of green.
This bathroom isn't just for the kids that's for sure!
This is the boys bathroom from the same series as the pink and orange girls bathroom above.
Here Sarah has again shown her skill of great tile design. With the walls left painted white with a
wide grey band, Sarah has continued this look and design feature into the shower with a grey band of
tiles carrying through the shower, clever idea. The sconces either side of the mirror are very cool,
vintage industrial so it brings in a different element.
Overall I love this and I would be happy to have this bathroom as my own.
Well what did you think of that round up of bathrooms?
One thing is for sure, Sarah definitely knows how to put together a great bathroom.
