My New Blog - I Want Her Closet

It might sound a bit crazy as we all know that I don't have very good internet access at the moment but I've started my second blog! As you all know there are alot of fashion references on My First Little Place but I wanted to really define this as my interiors space and my new blog I Want Her Closet as my fashion space. 

I am a girl who likes alot of clairty afterall!

Happy Mother's Day to all those mum's out there

 You are all truly blessed to have the best job in the world.

Mulberry Headquarters

I could quite easily get up everyday knowing that this is where I would be going to work! 

The new space for Mulberry's Headquarters is in London's Kensington area and designed by Universal Design Studio, who's work I admire greatly.

Space envy

The highlight for me are the fab 2 chairs with the sheep skins on them and that rug makes me want to take my shoes of now , sit in one of the chairs and rest my feet on it, looks unbelieveably soft.

I came across this little place somewhere and I think it is just lovely.

Looks so sweet and cosy. Would love to see what it looks like in daylight but it looks lovely in the lights of the night, don't you think?

History in the making

So I don't think there will be a blog out there this weekend that won't post about the royal wedding. How can we not, it is truly a beautiful part of history being made.

How lovely was it? How gorgeous did Kate Catherine look? How amazingly stunning was her dress? And most importantly how happy did they look?

These are some of my favourite photo's from the wedding.

Her dress was absolutely beautiful, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. It is the perfect combination of tradition and modernity. Ivory satin bodice (very symbollic of McQueens work) overlayed by hand-cut English lace and Fench Chantilly lace. An interesting fact, the workers of the lace on the dress washed their hands every 30 minutes to keep the lace and threads in pristine condition! Only for a duchess....

Her bouquet of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth.

Her sister, Pippa's dress was also designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Lovely.

Awww...

Leaving Clarence House to travel to Buckingham Palace for post wedding celebrations. This dress also designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen.

I love their getaway in the Aston Martin Volante.

What a gorgeous couple and I wish them all the happiness.

A Rental Success

As we know I'm making the move from own own little place into a rental. This sets me new challenges as what I can do is fairly limited, I don't have the freedom to paint the colours I want or change the fixtures and fittings. But today I came across this great home featured on Apartment Therapy this week.

Corina rents her house in LA and with her influence of old hollywood glamour and Kelly Wearstler, she has truly made this rental into her own abode.

 I'm truly inspired that I will be able to make my rental my home
