Home Tour - Ivanka Trump

I think we all fell in love with her old apartment but Ivanka's current New York apartment,
shared in Elle Decor highlights design elements that work really well for a his and her apartment.

Located on Manhattan's Park Avenue, Ivanka took on this renovation for the
apartment with Interior Designer Kelly Behun.

I have to say, I'm a bit of an Ivanka fan. And I'll tell you why :
  • Overall she's a businesswoman, heiress, model, designer, wife, mother and some would call her a socialite
  • She has her BA in Economics
  • Is Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at The Trump Organization
  • She designs a line of jewellery with diamond traders, Dynamic Diamond Corp which is in their "Ivanka Trump" store on Madison Avenue
  • In 2009 she married Jared Kushner and in 2011, she gave birth to their first child daughter Arabella Rose

So they're the facts but what I really like about her is that yes she was born into wealth, she was set for the rest of her life. However, unlike many other heiresses Ivanka went to college, got her BA and worked hard to acquire all she has now. She's not seen in the tabloids as being reckless or a wild child. In every interview or The Apprentice appearances she always speaks and holds herself very well. She's quite a private person in such a high profile family and quietly supports a number of charities.

I just thinks it's refreshing to have someone who has so much and so much access to the public that she has kept her head screwed on and has what appears to have a happy and fulfilled life,
one for which she has been able to create for herself.

Designer Home - Nate Berkus

Ok, I know it will be featured on many a website but I am loving Nate's new his own Manhattan reno
and wanted to share ...

How dreamy is that bookcase and book collection

What a great blank canvas

Living Space After :

Kitchen Before :

Kitchen After :

Adore the window that separates living and kitchen

I've so missed seeing Nate on Oprah : (

He has such a great eye and ability to put things together.
He gives a room character with the items he places in the space but it doesn't feel cumbersome.

You can read more about it here

Have a great weekend everyone

Photography Love

Now I tell you, this is the thing I love about Pinterest.
I came across this beautiful image that someone I follow had pinned on one of their boards.

Gorgeous right? Can't believe someone gets to actually work here!
So I clicked on the image and it took me to the site where the picture originated from.
It was a photographer whose work, primarily weddings was just stunning.
So I kept flipping through and thought when (??) I get married,
I would love this photographer to record the day for us but I just bet that she lives overseas.
I kept looking through and no, she's Australian ...
but wait it gets even better ...
she's from Perth - her studio is even in the same neighbourhood that I live in!

Love how pinterest can connect you when you don't expect it.

So with my little story, I am compelled to share with you some beautiful images from photographer
 Jemma Keech

A Fashionable Wednesday - Marissa Webb

Spring 2013 has been the season that ex J Crew Head of Women's Design,
Marissa Webb launched her first solo line.

I think she put together some really cute pieces, nothing too controversial but also not boring.
I liked the combination of pops of colour in chic casual, cool pieces.

So, what's your verdict??

Celebrity Home - Carolyn Murphy

Such a sweet space for a Supermodel, Carolyn Murphy.

This is actually her recently sold Brentwood home.
It's a beautiful Spanish style home, perfect for LA.

The house which was recently sold was listed at $2,995,000,
has 3 bedrooms and 3.1 bath.

I like it, it looks like it would have a really homey and comfy feel to it.
Yep, I'd add this to the list of homes I'd happily move into!
