A Fashionable Wednesday - Street Style

Today I'm inspired by Bill Cunningham. 

I got "Bill Cunningham New York" documentary for my birthday a couple of months ago 

and have watched it over and over. For those who don't know Bill, he photographs people 

on the streets of New York showing what is real in the world of fashion on any given day

 for the New York Times.

These photo's aren't Bill's but now days there is a plethora of street photographers. 

They don't capture what Bill does but it's still great to have the assortment out there.

If you haven't seen this film, I urge you  too. Whether you love fashion or New York or not, 

Bill is such a humble and happy gentleman who has this really lovely life story.

Celebrity Home - Lake Bell

I first saw actress Lake Bell in the TV Miss Match with Alicia Silverstone (did you ever watch this?)

 and then went on to see her and like her in movies such as Over Her Dead Body, 

What Happens In Vegas, No Strings Attached and one of my favourite tv shows  

How To Make It In America.

Lake opened her home recently to Vogue. Her mum is an interior designer so it's no wonder 

that she's has a really great style and she's clearly made her West Hollywood home her own. 

It's not too precious or styled and has some quirk and personality.

 It's different from what I am usually drawn to but I like it, especially the outside areas.

As we know I get a tad obsessed with gorgeous workspaces, 

particularly those that are creative and provides space for collaboration.

It's no wonder that I am beyond inspired by the offices of Refinery 29.

For those that aren't familiar with Refinery 29, it's one of my daily reads 

that provides you everything you want to know about fashion, beauty, living, 

entertainment, news, how to's and so much more.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day 
to all those fabulous dad's out there

I had an interesting chat with a couple of my friends yesterday about our dads. 

I was so saddened to hear their less than happy memories of their "dads"
 - if they could even be called that!

I've always known how lucky I am to have a great dad but it hit home even more yesterday.

Growing up I had a dad who worked hard to support his family {this is where I believe I learnt
my good work ethic from} but he always had time for us. When I was younger I always
used to nag him about playing a board games with me at night when I'm sure all he wanted to do
was relax with a beer and watch some television after a long day at work. 

He's the one who taught me how to ride a bike and helped me with my homework. 

It sounds like a hallmark card or something doesn't it, but it's not it's called real life,
how it should be and called being a parent! 

Happy father's day also to my brother who is also a really great dad to my nephew
{who idolises him by the way}.

Thanks dad for being the best dad ever, there's no other like you.
