Facebook HQ

It's the social networking phenomenon that is taking over the world - FACEBOOK! Most of us check it everyday, but did you ever wonder what their headquarters looked like? Well not surprisingly I did!

Just what every workplace needs - decks in the corner and skate ramp outside!

What do you think?

A Fashionable Wednesday

I'm loving my TV at the moment, after my super happy 9 by Design experience last night I'm also loving Frock Me with Alexa Chung. I love Alexa's distinctive, quirky style. I couldn't pull off alot of what she wears, but I love how it just works for her.

Very cool in Vuitton

This dress I'd wear but maybe just a little longer!

Love, love, love - the dress, the bag, the shoes

Thank you...

... to everyone who has commented or emailed me regarding my choice of lamps for my bedroom, I really appreciate everyone's feedback.

I have chosen which one but I'm not going to reveal until I have them sitting on my bedside tables! I have a really hectic week ahead so it probably won't be until the following week.

I'm so excited that I will soon have one room done, watch this space.

Thanks again xx

Bedroom HELP......

Ok all my friends and design savvy bloggers, I need lamps for my bedroom and whilst I have my thoughts about which one I am leaning towards I would love to know your thoughts, PLEASE!

Firstly here's a sneak peak into my bedroom is it's raw, unstyled manner. The lamp I have currently is an old Ikea lamp that performs it's literal purpose (light) and has no aethestic purpose.

I love my bed cover and pillows but they are as girly or "soft" as I want to go. And the butler's tables will stay as my side tables. The cushion I am getting for my bed is this one...

Table Tonic

Now for the lamps, what do you think and be honest..

Well, what do you think?
If you have any other suggestions let me know or email me a pic.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback xx

The beautiful outdoors

Today was a beautiful day on the coast. Spring is truly here and I must get my butt into gear to get my outside areas done so I can sit outside and enjoy this amazing weather.

R.I.P Corrine Day

I came to know the work of Bristish photographer Corrine Day in the early 90's. I was obsessed with fashion and the era of the real "supermodels". Corrine's work was everywhere particularly in UK Vogue. For me I most recognise her work with Kate Moss, she captured her in a way no other has.

Sadly Corrine passed away on the 27th August 2010 of a brain tumour at the young age of 48.

What's your favourite colour?

I think I've made it pretty obvious that mine is yellow, it just makes me happy...

Many people like to use their favourite colour in their space, which is great because after all your home is a reflection of who you are. But some people just go OTT and splash their favourite colour all over the place. You know what I mean, all four walls covered in red or blue along with every accessory. But if you just add touches of your favourite colour to a neautral background, it will pop even more and be much more effective. And it can work in any room in the house.

What's your favourite colour for your home?

loving.living.small home office

I spotted this home office today of Rebecca Orlov over at loving.living.small on Apartment Therapy.

It's such a sweet space. The colour of the walls is a perfect shade and the bright coloured rug adds a feminine touch. I always like a white trestle table in a home office.
