Squarespace Headquarters

This is very cool on two levels!

Squarespace is a fully hosted environment for creating and maintaining a website
with sophisticated yet easy to use interfaces and do it yourself tools to help you
 produce a high quality website.

I myself am using Squarespace for Our Little Place and I love it.
The websites are so easy to build and they do look very sophisticated.
I'm not very techie, but I think I've done a good job with it so far.
They are also reasonably priced and have fantastic customer service -
always on hand to help you out (no matter how silly the questions are)

But they recently invited a photographer inside their Manhattan HQ
to shoot an inside Google Street View!
I have not heard of this before.
So basically you know how you can do your street view ...
well if you click on the double arrow it will take you inside!

And here's what I found ...

The reception area

Dining area between the kitchen and the workspace

Kitchen

The "resource centre" I guess (I think they need more books right?)

Boardroom - I'd be holding meetings all the time in here!

Cool right!

When I saw these images it just reaffirmed that this is the right company to be hosting my site.
I'd love my HQ to look like this one day - open space, dark floor boards, white walls and huge windows.

If you want to have a go, click here
(just remember to click the double arrow forward to go inside the building)

Have you come across anywhere else that you can go inside via Google Street View?

FYI, this isn't a paid post haha

Workspace Tour - Interior Design Studio

Finishing the weekend off with a tour of a sweet home garage converted Interior Designer's studio.

I like this space, it has been really well set up with different areas to work within a square space.
The 2 corner desks look nice and spacious, a separate drafting table, wall of bookshelves
and a centre table for more collaborative work and meetings.

Does this inspire you to head back to work tomorrow?

I'll be missing this week as I have to head to Bangkok for work so
I'll see you all the following week.

Expedit Bookshelf

I am in desperate need of a bookshelf or two as my selection of books for Our Little Place grows.
But as I am starting a new business, I am on the search for something that is cost effective, practical
to fill the need but also look good!

I've been going back and forth with the infamous Ikea Expedit bookshelf.
So I went on the search for some images that may help with the decision.

I think the above image is the decider  for me.
The whole office space is beautiful, clean lined, modern but still warm.
I also really like how they have made the smaller units more substantial by
layering them above each other - perfect!

Laying one down horizontally also looks great and will give me a space to place
the larger format books that won't fit into the shelves.

What do you think?

Kelly Wearstler Headquarters

Jealous is the word that comes to mind here!
There's a story on Refinery29 that takes us inside the headquarters of Designer
(both interiors and fashion) of Kelly Wearstler and introduces us to not only the to-die-for
working space but some the very lucky people that get to work with her at KW HQ!
This would be my absolute dream to work with such a talented and creative women.

Space of the week ...

How adorable is this workspace.

Still working from home but having that extra (external) space
is such a great idea.

Little rustic but cosy.

Just so sweet.

Photography Love

Now I tell you, this is the thing I love about Pinterest.
I came across this beautiful image that someone I follow had pinned on one of their boards.

Gorgeous right? Can't believe someone gets to actually work here!
So I clicked on the image and it took me to the site where the picture originated from.
It was a photographer whose work, primarily weddings was just stunning.
So I kept flipping through and thought when (??) I get married,
I would love this photographer to record the day for us but I just bet that she lives overseas.
I kept looking through and no, she's Australian ...
but wait it gets even better ...
she's from Perth - her studio is even in the same neighbourhood that I live in!

Love how pinterest can connect you when you don't expect it.

So with my little story, I am compelled to share with you some beautiful images from photographer
 Jemma Keech
