Fashion House - Tamara Mellon take 2

You may remember not so long ago I posted here about the London home of Tamara Mellon. Well she's moved on and is now residing in New York.

Her apartment in New York was designed again by Martin Laurence-Bullard and we can see alot of the same pieces from her London apartment have been incorporated into her new space. Let's have a look around...

Tamara and her daughter, Minty

The same beautiful tapestry behind the bed is used, but I think I prefer her London bedroom

Hello freakin Jimmy Choo... I don't think it's big enough!!!

Love these chairs

Great space, sophisticated yet comfy. Looks like the rug previously used in the bedroom.

I love a tufted sofa, but perhaps not this one! And the snake pics, great art but they're not something I would be able to live with!

What do you think?

  2. I had the greatest time flipping through your blog. Thank for popping in over at mine. I dream of South Australia. My ancestors are of German decent and there is a lot of German influence in that state. I truly believe I will feel right at home there. Problem being, I can't get my husband on board 100%. Have a great week. Heidi

  3. Looking at these celebrity homes is giving me serious envy! But it lured me to your blog so I'm glad I stopped for a look. Your first home is very special time ... bit by bit you'll get there!

  4. Interesting! I hadn't seen this yet. I'm with you on that tufted sofa, which seems a little odd, especially in that room (just doesn't fit, imo). And those snake photos are wayyy too creepy for me. Entertaining to see how she lives, though. Wouldn't it be fun to poke around in her shoe closet?! :-)

  5. Ciao Sarah!

I just discovered your blog and it's an excellent collection to be inspired by! Also, this is a great post on T's place because I think Martyn does a great job. As for the tufted sofa, yes, it doesn't look great in the photo but it does in person. I think it's one of those things to appreciate while in the space because it really does compliments it well.

I look forward to seeing more of your posts. :-)

    Enchantee,

    Clotaire
