I'm am so impressed with this DIY job done over at Aubrey + Lindsay's Blog. They have taken this simple Ikea Rast sidetable

And made it look like this

I absolutely love it. I want it.

So of course I jumped onto the Ikea website at first I thought we didn't have the Rast sidetable here in Australia :( But we do AND they only cost $50!!!

A Fashionable Wednesday

Another of my style icons - Sofia Coppola and Louis Vuitton, match made in heaven and my new MUST HAVE bag!

Every girl has their favourite accessories they love to buy and for most it's shoes. For me I'm a total bag lady! I love a good handbag, they make or break an outfit, they make you really feel good when you wear them and they are a practical {well most of them}.

The Louis Vuitton SC bag is one you would keep forever.

The White House

I'm always looking through for places to stay around the world and love when I come across great places within Australia. I have come across the beautiful White House at Daylesford, Victoria. The 1850's miners cottage is owned by antiques dealer Lyn Gardner has cosy, eclectic interiors and a well stocked library. Best of all you can hire it out to stay in.

What a great place to get away and relax with some friends.

More travels

I'm lucky with my job that I get to do a bit of travelling. Tomorrow I'm off to Cairns for a few days! Cairns, for those who aren't familiar is up north in Queensland. It's a tropical tourist destination and it's hot and humid {my hair will look great - not!}

Another of my very favourite style icons is Christine Centenera. As the Fashion Editor for Harper's Bazaar, this is one chick who knows what her style is and she pulls it all off effortlessly.

Welcome, come on in...

I love an entrance way to the home. Some people are fortunate to have beautiful big entrances with wide, long hallways and some you just open the door and ta da, you're straight into the living room {like moi}. Your entrance is really an important part of the home as it sets the ambience of your environment.

Little bit more gorgeously rustic! Beautiful brick floor and just needs a horse to pop it's head through the top half of the front door.

Fashion House - Tamara Mellon take 2

You may remember not so long ago I posted here about the London home of Tamara Mellon. Well she's moved on and is now residing in New York.

Her apartment in New York was designed again by Martin Laurence-Bullard and we can see alot of the same pieces from her London apartment have been incorporated into her new space. Let's have a look around...

Love these chairs

Great space, sophisticated yet comfy. Looks like the rug previously used in the bedroom.

I love a tufted sofa, but perhaps not this one! And the snake pics, great art but they're not something I would be able to live with!
